The Return of "Tales from the Crypt"?

Deadline is reporting the famous/infamous comic book from the 1950s, Tales from the Crypt maybe heading back to the small screen. The previous version was on HBO from 1989 to 1996 and starred the John Kassir as the voice of the Crypt Keeper. The series will be produced by one of the original Crypt series producer Gil Adler, and Eureka co-creator and BOOM! Comics co-founder Andrew Cosby.  The show will be an hour long and will use "characters from the comic books in a more modern context." Characters? Does that mean we'll see the Old Witch and the Vault Keeper as well? Interesting. Cinemax, a sister channel to HBO, apparently has interest in the show.
