The Check That Bought Superman Is Sold

You might remember the report we had regarding ComicConnect.com having the check from what was Detective Comics (now DC) issued to Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster to buy the rights to Superman.

Well, the auction closed on April 16 and the winning bid was...$160,000!

The auction of the check comes months after a record $2.16 million was paid in December for a first issue of Action Comics, the comic book that unveiled Superman to the world. It cost 10 cents when it was published in 1938.

So what are your thoughts on this?
